Service Dog
in Training
Darcy is a 10 week old, British Lab. He comes from a line
of world champion scenters and was bred to use his nose.
We are working to train him specifically to the target odor-
my low blood sugar!

Under the guidance of Liz Norris, Pawsibilities Unleashed,
we are training Darcy at home and in public places. He is
amazing all of us with how well he behaves - in, and out of
vest. Liz has high expectations of both of us!!!

Darcy's accomplishments thus far are: "sit", "lay down",
"stand", "wait", "stay", "heel", "leave it", "drop it", "bring it",
"get it", "watch me", "come", and he knows how to tell us
when he needs to go to the bathroom - he runs to the door,
sits and waits for me to bring him outside! Darcy is also
being trained for scent work and he is doing fantastic with
those exercises as well.
I take Darcy everywhere I go. He does very well in public. Sometimes he gets tired of
walking in a "heel" and needs a break (that is why he likes church so much - all he has to
do there is sleep!!)!

Darcy loves people and loves to be petted. I have not seen him get scared of ANYTHING
yet. I am amazed at how he can tolerate the loud noises, thunder storms, people, and
places that most dogs would be scared of.

I have been working very hard with Mr. Darcy, and I will continue to do so. I am forever
greatful for the people who made it possible for me to get Darcy. He has been a source
of joy in my home.
